John P. Andes – 51 – Somerset, NJ
John P. Andes died at his residence at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center in Somerset on March 28, 2014.
John was born in East Orange and resided in Old Bridge for most of his life before sustaining an injury due to a motor vehicle accident. He then became a resident at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center where he was the facility's longest surviving resident.
John was a graduate of Madison Central High School. He was employed by the Star Ledger as a pressman. John enjoyed skydiving, Rock 'n Roll, and going to concerts. His favorite bands were AC/DC, Judas Priest and Scorpions.
John was preceded in death by his father Fred John Andes (1997), his mother Carol Barton-Young (2009) and her second husband John Joseph "Tex" Barton (1998).
John is survived by his sisters Michelle Carroll of Perrineville and Suzanne Horton of Hazlet and four nieces, Melissa, Kristine, Jessica and Katie and one nephew Kevin.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at 9:30am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:15am at Immaculate Conception RC Church – Spotswood. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery – Monroe Twp. Visitation will be from 7-9pm on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at the funeral home.
