Dorothy J. (McKenna) Holton – 86 – Monroe Township, NJ Dorothy J. (McKenna) Holton of Monroe Township, NJ died on February 16, 2014. She was born in Bayonne, NJ and moved to Edison where she lived for 31 years before moving to The Greens in Monroe Township in 1991 and then finally to Rossmoor in 2000. Dorothy received her BA in psychology from Rutgers University. She had a 50 plus year association with JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, first as a founding member of the Auxiliary which was the original fund raising arm that started the hospital. She later became the Executive Director of Volunteer Services until her retirement in 2000. She was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Township, and a member of the Emerald Society, the 9 Hole Ladies Golf Association, the Bocce Club, and the Red Hatters, all of Rossmoor. She was predeceased by her husband James E. Holton in 1999, her daughter Deborah Griffiths in 2000, her brother John McKenna and her sister, Marian Sroczynski. She is survived by two sons, Kevin Holton of Long Branch, and James Holton of Medford, one daughter, Denise Holton of Lambertville, a sister, Lillian Czarnecki of Bayonne, NJ, three grandchildren, Caitlin, Megan, and Kevin, and many other extended family members. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral liturgy on Thursday at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by a private cremation. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
