Matthew Tringali – 92 – Plainsboro, NJ
Matthew Tringali of Plainsboro, NJ died on February 15, 2014 at his residence at Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and lived in West New York, NJ before retiring to Holiday City, West in the Berkeley section of Toms River where he lived for 20 years before finally moving to Monroe Township, NJ.
Matthew worked in sheet metal fabrication for many years at Horlbeck Metal Crafts in Union City, NJ. He retired in 1984. Matthew also served in the US Navy during World War II. He was an avid bowler and pool player at Holiday City.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Anne T. (Volpe) Tringali (2012), and two brothers, Thomas and Charles Tringali.
He is survived by his sons Robert M. Tringali and his wife Renee of Harrington Park, NJ, and Glenn R. Tringali and his wife Nancy of Monroe Township, NJ five sisters: Ida Steiler of Emerson, NJ, Martha Hoover of Michigan, Diana Price, Sonia Williams and Mary Jane Severini all of Florida, four grandchildren: Michael and John Tringali, Heather Comstock and her husband Matthew, Marissa Clark and her husband Andrew and one great granddaughter Ella Comstock.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 10am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township, NJ. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park Mausoleum – Toms River, NJ. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
