Leonard Glessman passed away on Thursday January 30, 2014 at the age of 75. Mr. Glessman was born and raised in Mt. Carmel, PA and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1956. He lived in South River before moving to Encore, Monroe Twp. He was employed by Revlon in Edison for 36 years before his retirement in 1993. He was also employed part time at Brunswick Hills Racquetball Club until 2009. He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool, and was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice (Stakalis) Glessman, his son, Robert and his wife Michelle of Monroe Twp., two daughters, Renee Nied and her husband Bob of Richmondville, NY, and Rachelle Marone and her husband Scott of Millstone Twp., two brothers, Joseph and his wife Eleanor and Raymond and his wife Angie, two sisters, Dorothy Billow and her husband Fred, and Anastasia Lipstreuer and her husband Jon, all of Ohio, four grandchildren whom he dearly loved, Wesley, Nicole, Owen, and Madeline, and many other extended family members.
A private cremation was held under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555.
A memorial Mass will be 10:00am on Friday February 7, 2014 at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
