Richard M. Nicoll – Monroe Twp., NJ
Richard M. Nicoll, 78, died at his residence on Monday December 30, 2013 with his family by his side. Richard was born in Paterson, NJ; he resided in Wyckoff and Lodi before making Monroe Twp. his home over 45 years ago.
Richard was employed by the Manalapan Englishtown Board of Education for over 20 years, as a custodian, retiring in 1995. He was an army veteran, who proudly served his country. Richard was an active member of the Monroe Twp. Volunteer Fire Company #1 Station 51 for nearly 45 years, where he served as the past corresponding secretary. Richard also served as chief of the Middlesex County Fire Police and was a member of the NJ State Fire Police.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy Nicoll, of Monroe Twp., a son, Rich and his wife Kim of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Barbara Kish of Monroe Twp., Pamela Dunn and her husband James of Bayville, NJ, five grandchildren: Kevin Kish, Michael Kish, Joseph Dunn, Kristina Nicoll and Matthew Nicoll and a sister, Roberta Walker and her husband William of Vero Beach, FL.
Visitation will be Sunday January 5, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp. A funeral services will begin on Monday January 6, 2014 at 10:00am from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Valleau Cemetery - Ridgewood, NJ.
