Obituary of Dr. Dennis M. Curley

Dr. Dennis M. Curley died on Friday December 6, 2013 at his home in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp., NJ. He was 76 years old. Dr. Curley was born and raised in Mt. Kisco, NY. He later lived in Staten Island before moving to New Jersey. He has resided in Stonebridge, Monroe Twp. since 2010. He earned his Master's degree in Microbiology from Long Island University and his PhD in Microbiology from St. John's University. He was a professor of Biology and Chairman of the Biology Department for Long Island University for 40 years before his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the American Society for Microbiology and a former parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Mt. Kisco, NY.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Valerie S. (DeAngelo) DeGray of Stonebridge, Monroe Twp., his son, Jarred DeGray and his wife Amy of Keller, TX, his sister-in-law, Marjory Curley of El Cajon, CA, three grandchildren, Taylor Burleson, Jake DeGray, and Gianna DeGray, and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 9:00am on Wednesday December 11, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 11:30am at St Francis of Assisi RC Church, Mt. Kisco, NY followed by Interment in the parish cemetery in Mt. Kisco. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
