Marie E. Peckio – Monroe Township
Marie E. Peckio, 100, died on Monday November 25, 2013 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Marie was born in the Bronx, NY; she resided in Brooklyn for most of her life before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 1993. Marie received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from St. John's University. She was a grammar school teacher at St. Bernadette's School in Brooklyn for 30 years, retiring in 1984.
Marie loved to read and enjoyed theater, especially Broadway plays. She was also a past communicant of St. Bernadette's RC Church of Brooklyn.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband Edward R. Peckio (1969), two brothers: John and Louis Natale, a sister, Rose Marie Natale.
Marie is survived by her son, Richard E. Peckio and his wife Norma Jean of Monroe Twp., and two grandchildren: Rich Peckio and his wife Jamie of Manalapan, NJ and Lauren of Freehold, NJ.
A private cremation has been entrusted to the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home.
