Obituary of Marie B. Hess

Mrs. Marie B. (Meyer) Hess of Monroe Township, N.J., died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold, N.J. She was 79 years old. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe Township. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick, N.J. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Marie lived there and then in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Rossmoor in Monroe Township in 2002. She worked for the New York City Board of Education for 10 years in the guidance department of Wagner High School, Staten Island, retiring in 1992. Mrs. Hess was a member of the Emerald Society, Italian American Club, and Brooklyn Club, all in Rossmoor, and was a member of Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Chruch, Monroe Township. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frederick G.; a daughter, Kathleen Bowen and her husband, Joseph, of Chandler, Ariz.; three sons, Stephen and his wife, Melaje, of Old Bridge, N.J., Frederick and his wife, Lisa, of Bridgewater, N.J., and Christopher, of Detroit, Mich.
