Betty J. (Legg) Bailey passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. She was 60 years old. Betty was born in New Brunswick. She was raised in East Brunswick and later lived in Milltown, and Monroe Twp. She has resided in the Clarksburg section of Millstone Twp. since 1998. In addition to being a homemaker, she was formerly a secretary for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Raritan and Bristol Myers Squibb in Princeton. She was the vice-chairwoman for the Millstone Twp. Republican County Executive Committee, was a secretary for the Pleasure Horse Club of CJ, and a member of Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in East Brunswick. She had a love of wild animals and her beloved pets, she cared for them devotedly. She also enjoyed gardening, loved God, her country and was very patriotic. She loved to ride her horse in parades and drill team exhibitions. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Robert Bailey of Clarksburg, her mother, Betty R. Legg of East Brunswick, one sister, Carol Howarth and her husband George of Monroe Twp., two brothers, Ron Legg and his wife Cindy of East Brunswick, and Bob Legg and his wife Brenda of Rock Hill, SC, and many other extended family members. She will be missed dearly but not forgotten. Although we grieve we know that you are in heaven with the Lord and Daddy. Visitation is Monday, October 21, 2013, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral service will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday at the funeral home and Interment will follow in Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick.
