William J. Keenan died on Friday September 27, 2013 at his home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. He was 90 years old. Mr. Keenan was born and raised in South Amboy. He has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 1989. He served in the US Army during WWII. He was a shift supervisor and laboratory technician for Hercules, Inc. in Parlin and later was a technician for Electro-Catheter Corp. in Rahway. He retired in 1985. He was an avid golfer and member of the Rossmoor Golf Club. He was former president of Rossmoor Mutual 7. He was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus for Our Lady of Victories Council #670, and a third degree member of the Nativity of Our Lord Council #14658. He was a former parishioner of St. Mary's RC Church, South Amboy, and was a current communicant of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary M. (Zuspan) Keenan of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., two daughters, Carol McDonnell and her husband John of Tobayhanna, PA, and Sharon Yoder and her husband Michael of Bethany Beach, DE, his sister-in-law Frances Keenan of Keansburg, three grandchildren, Brent Yoder and his wife Michelle, John McDonnell and his wife Kerrie, and Colleen McDonnell, one great granddaughter, Margaret Mary, and many other extended family members. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Tuesday October 1, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. Cremation is private. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday at the funeral home. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Nativity of Our Lord RC Church Building Fund, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.
