Obituary of Marcos Rodriguez, Sr.

Marcos Rodriguez, Sr. died with his family by his side on Sunday September 22, 2013 at his home in Monroe Twp. He was 76 years old. Mr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Guanica, Puerto Rico. He came to the US in 1957 and settled in Brooklyn. He has resided in Monroe Twp. since1999. He was a factory worker for Yoo-Hoo in Brooklyn and retired in 1987. He was an avid fisherman and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Lydia E. (Villanueva) Rodriguez of Monroe Twp., five children, Judy Rodriguez, Anna Salvadore and her husband Richard of Monroe Twp., Marcos Rodriguez, Jr. and his wife Charlotte of Monroe Twp., Jennifer Rodriguez and her husband Richard Musse of Manalapan, and Stephanie Rodriguez of Monroe Twp., two siblings, Urbano Rodriguez and his wife Angie of Elkton, MD, and Angela Vega and her husband Heriberto Tirado of Puerto Rico, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and many other extended family members. A blessing will be 11:00am on Wednesday September 25, 2013 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
