Rosario M. Mistretta – Monroe Twp., NJ, Formerly of Palm Harbor, Florida.
Rosario M. Mistretta, 93, died on Sunday August 11, 2013 at Monroe Village. Rosario was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Palm Harbor, Florida since early 2002 before moving to Monroe Twp., in 2013.
Rosario received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Baruch College. He was employed for 45 years in various management positions, retiring from A&S in 1985. Rosario proudly served his country during WW II in the United States Army.
Rosario was involved in a variety of clubs and organizations, they included: VFW Post 5558 of Brooklyn, Knights of Columbus, Columbia Association of Businessmen, the Shore Parkway Baseball League and the Brooklyn Amateur Baseball Association. He managed sand lot baseball league in Brooklyn and was able to raise a lot of money for charity through fundraising. Rosario was also a member of St. Catherine of Alexandria in Brooklyn and St. Luke RC Church, where he served as a lector for many years.
Rosario is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Frances R. (Garramone) Mistretta of Monroe Twp., NJ, a son, Peter Mistretta and his wife Debra of Livingston, NJ, two daughters: Marie Mistretta of New Hyde Park, NY, Vanessa Mistretta of Brooklyn, NY, a brother, Joseph Mistretta and his wife Margaret of Hauppauge, NY and two grandchildren: Alec and Kylie Mistretta of Livingston, NJ.
