Mr. John B. Ivan, Jr. entered into eternal rest on July 2, 2013 while surrounded by his family at his home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. John was born and raised in Fords, NJ to the late John B., Sr. and Helen (Winkler) Ivan. A graduate of Woodbridge High School, he attended Newark College of Engineering. John proudly served his country in the US Army Military Police Unit until his honorable discharge in 1965. He lived in Edison, NJ for over 41 years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in 2011. John was an avid boater and fisherman. He enjoyed memberships in the American Legion Post 435 in Edison, the Italian American Club of Edison, and the Emerald Society of Rossmoor.
He was pre-deceased by his only son, John Ivan as well as his twin sister and brother-in-law, Joan E. Moran and Richard Moran, and his brother-in-law, Steve Topolancik.
John leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Nancy (Mulvey) Ivan of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Edward Delaney of Metuchen, his sister, Evelyn Topolancik of Morgan, and his sister-in-law, Barbara Jolly and her husband Dan of Monroe Twp. He is also survived by his four beautiful grandchildren, Skylar, Taylor, John, and Kaitlyn, and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30am Monday July 8, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by Interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, New Brunswick. Visitation is Sunday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
