Obituary of Elizabeth R. 'Pudge' Minter

Mrs. Elizabeth R. 'Pudge' (Reighley) Minter died on Thursday June 13, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Care Center (Felician Sisters) in Lodi. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Minter was born in Wellsville, MO and has resided in Monroe Twp. for the past 38 years. She taught Church Music at Immaculate Conception School in Spotswood for 20 years. Over her career, she prepared hundreds of children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation as a Church organist. She studied organ at the Westminster Choir College in Princeton and received a certificate in Church Music. For the past 16 years, she has studied organ with Brenda Day. She loved golf and was a member of the Rossmoor Golf Club for 38 years. She was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
She was predeceased by her husband, James W. Minter, her parents, Albert A. and Lettie (Skinner) Reighley, two daughters, Marjorie Ann Minter, and Marjorie Kay Butland and her husband Richard M. Butland, two brothers, John W. Reighley, and Fred A. Reighley, and one grandson, James H. Minter.
She is survived by her son, James R. Minter and his wife Barbara of Keller, TX, her daughter, Sr. Marilyn Minter, CSSF, Felician Sister of Jacmel, Haiti, and three grandchildren, Alison Pyott and her husband Chris, Timothy Butland, and Jeanine Roberts.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Monday June 17, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
