Obituary of Selvagene C. Saunders

Selvagene C. Saunders - Monroe Township Selvagene C. Saunders died on Saturday June 8, 2013 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 72 years old. Selvagene was born and raised in the Little Helton Community of Ashe County, NC. She has made Monroe Township her home for the past 40 years. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Jamesburg. Selvagene is preceded in her death by her parents Luther D. Campbell (2010) and Janell W. (Walker) Campbell (2011) and one sister Betty Ann Campbell Robertson (1993). Selvagene is survived by her loving husband of fifty four years Donald R. Saunders of Monroe Twp., a son, Richard G. Saunders also of Monroe Twp., two daughters: Donna Jean Powers and husband Steve of Garland, TX, Lisa Ann Reid and her husband Thomas of Helmetta, NJ, four brothers: Ernest Dale Campbell and his wife Cathy of Catlett, VA., William H. Campbell and his wife Lynn of Harrisburg, NC, Randy P. Campbell and his wife PiChu of Virginia Beach, VA, Earl D. Campbell of Millers Creek, NC, a sister, Linda N. Ellsworth and her husband Barry of Harrisburg, NC, five grandchildren: Matthew Reid, Katie Reid, Julie Powers, Kayla Powers and Kyle Powers, and many other extended family members. Visitation will be 10:00am to 12:00pm on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at the M.David DeMarco Funeral Home-205 Rhode Hall Road-Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral service will begin following the visitation at 12:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment is in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations please be made to the American Cancer Society.
