Raffaela J. (Sessa) Barone died on Wednesday May 22, 2013 at The Elms of Cranbury. She was 95 years old. Mrs. Barone was born and raised in Brooklyn. She lived in Staten Island for 14 years before moving to Rossmoor Monroe Twp. in 1978. She raised her family as a homemaker and was a member of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., the Italian American Club of Rossmoor, and the Jamesburg and Monroe Twp. senior citizens clubs.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Dr. Michael C. in 1988, and two grandchildren, Stephanie Marano, and Michael V. Marano.
She is survived by two children, Dr. Clement M. Barone and his wife Elizabeth of New York City, NY, and Ursula Marano and her husband Vincent of Sarasota, FL, three grandchildren, Michael Barone, Marc Barone, and Michael D. Marano and his wife Jennifer, three great grandchildren, Madisen, Brandon, and Nicholas, and many other extended family members.
Visiting hours are 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday May 24, 2013 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am Saturday May 25, 2013 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp. followed by Interment in Green Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
