Catherine "Kay" (Holsten) Mechkowski – Helmetta, NJ formerly of Seaford, DE
Catherine "Kay" Mechkowski, 79, died peacefully on (date) in Helmetta. Catherine was born in Union and was raised in South Brunswick. She later resided in Helmetta then Seaford, DE, then coming home to Helmetta in 2013.
Kay was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader and was a former member of the Marine Corp. Ladies Auxiliary. She was a communicant of St. James the Less RC Church – Jamesburg and Our Lady of Lourdes Church – Seaford, DE. Kay enjoyed playing the slots.
Kay is preceded in death by her husband John R. Mechkowski (2013), two brothers: Charles and Frederick Holsten and a sister, Dorothy Davis.
Kay is survived by four sons: John Jr. of Portland, TN, Stephen of Helmetta, NJ, James of Hayden, ID, and Timothy of Helmetta, NJ, a daughter, Kathryn Mangano of Helmetta, NJ, seven grandsons: John III, James II, Shawn, Tyler, and Joshua Mechkowski, John Paul II and Nicholas Mangano, two granddaughters: Jennifer Mechkowski and Alexis Semeniuk, a sister, Marie Schwab and two brothers: Robert and Donald Holsten.
