Alfonso DiCaro, 89, died on March 14, 2013 at the Piedmont Medical Center – Rock Hill, SC. Alfonso was born in Tarrington, CT; he was raised in the Bronx, NY and later lived in Sayreville, NJ for 23 years. He has been a resident of Rock Hill, SC since 2005. Alfonso proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He was an HVAC technician and worked for several different employers throughout his career. Alfonso was a member of the American Legion Post 211 - Sayreville. He was an avid sports fan and followed the NY Yankees and NY Giants. Alfonso is preceded in death by his wife Lillian J. (1993). He is survived by two sons: Alfonso J. DiCaro and his wife Vicki of Englishtown, NJ, and Bennett DiCaro and his wife Theresa of Rock Hill, SC, a daughter, Jeanette Redecha and her husband Paul of Venice, FL., six grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 18th at 11am at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp. Interment will follow at Fernwood Cemetery – Jamesburg, NJ. Visitation will be Monday from 10-11am at the funeral home.
