Mary Rose Magnacavallo, 96, died on Sunday March 3, 2013 at the Southern Ocean County Medical Center – Manahawkin, NJ. Mary was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Brooklyn, NY for over 50 years; she then resided in Franklin Park and Tuckerton, NJ. Mary loved to cook and her specialty was carrot cake. She was also a member of the Rosary Society – St Mary's Roman Catholic Church –Brooklyn. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Anthony (1992) and a brother Eddie Catena. She is survived by her son Andrew of Hollywood, FL., a daughter Agnes Smith of Monroe Twp., NJ, two grandchildren: Michael and his wife Helen of North Brunswick, NJ and Eleanor of Tuckerton, NJ, two great grandchildren: Shawn and Dakota and one great great-grandchild, Abigail Marie. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Thursday March 7, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - (732) 521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church – 185 Applegarth Rd – Monroe Twp. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery – Queens, NY. Visitation is Wednesday March 6, 2013 from 2-4 & 7-9pm.
