William P. Carrino – Kendall Park, NJ
William P. Carrino, 95, died at his residence on February 16, 2013. William was born in Brooklyn, NY, where he resided for all of his life prior to moving to Kendall Park, NJ in 2000.
William was employed by the New York City Transit Authority, for 35 years, as a bus driver and was later promoted to dispatcher, retiring in 1972. After his retirement he worked for Chase Manhattan Bank as a security guard.
William proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Navy; he also served as a medical corpsman during the war. William enjoyed woodworking, crossword puzzles and reading. He was a member of the BMT Holy Name Society.
William is predeceased by his wife Anna (1997), a son, William L. Carrino, Jr. (2011) and a daughter Judith Carrino (1948).
William is survived by his son, Gerald Anthony Carrino of Monmouth Junction, a daughter, Maryanne Carrino of Dayton, two granddaughters: Regina Boudwin and her husband Jason of Franklin Twp., Kathryn Besheer of Dayton and one great grandson, William Gerard Boudwin. William was also blessed in his later years by the visits of his nieces and nephews, which brought him great joy.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Wednesday February 20, 2013 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - (732) 521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30am at St. Paul RC Church – 214 Nassau St – Princeton. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park – South Brunswick. Visitation is Monday February 18th from 7-9pm and Tuesday February 19th from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
