Mr. John Davide died suddenly on Tuesday Jan. 22nd at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was 59 years old. Born in New York City, he lived in North Babylon, L.I., then the Dayton section of South Brunswick Twp. for 16 years, moving to Clearbrook in Monroe Twp. in 2008. His long career in automotive parts sales was highlighted by an over 35 year stay with American Racing Co., South Plainfield, an "aftermarket" parts supplier. He retired just last year. His life- long involvement in the auto parts industry spurred a love for classic cars and auto collectibles. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gale (Katz) Davide, his mother, Grace DiMarco of Monroe Twp., his mother in law, Helen Katz of Monroe Twp., a sister in law, Geri Kopelson of Montgomery Twp., a brother in law, Mark Katz of Monroe Twp., and two nephews, Joshua and Eric Kopelson, of Montgomery Twp. A chapel service will be held on Saturday at 10am at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday from 3 to 7pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township. Memorial contributions are encouraged to the American Diabetes Association.
