Obituary of Frank J. Iannazzone

Mr. Frank J. Iannazzone died suddenly on January 18th at Robert Wood Johnson Uuniversity Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 85 years old. Born in Union City, he lived there for most of his life, moving to Jensen Beach, FL in 1996.
He served in the US Navy fron 1944 until 1947, spending time aboard the destroyer USS Harold J. Ellison and then attended New York University in Manhattan on the GI Bill, graduating in 1951 with a BS in accounting. He worked for AT & T in Bedminster, NJ for 33 years as an accountant retiring in 1984.
He loved to travel with his wife and family, and enjoyed playing tennis and golf. But the most joy in his later years came from his five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Corbella and Elsie Iannazzone. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Barbara nee Broffman, a daughter, Melissa Johnson and her husband, Kyle of Monroe Twp., a son, Stephen and his wife, Corinne of Annandale, VA, two sisters, Vera Cannatta of Millstone, NJ and Phyllis Schuette of Hamilton, NJ, his five beloved grandchildren, Nadine, Eric, Jeremy, Victoria and Matthew and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Wednesday at 11:00am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11:30am at St. James RCC, Jamesburg. Private cremation will follow. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are encouraged to the American Heart and Stroke Association.
