Obituary of Unico D. 'Red' Cerasoli

Unico D. 'Red' Cerasoli died on Sunday January 13, 2013 at the University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro. He was 88 years old. Mr. Cerasoli was born and raised in the Bronx and lived there for most of his life before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2011. He served in the US Navy during WWII and was a draftsman for MLA Corporation in Pleasantville, NY until his retirement in 1996. He was a paddleball enthusiast and loved movies and music, especially jazz and Sinatra. A true family man, he cherished the time spent with them, most of all his grandchildren.
Pre-deceased by his parents, John and Virginia (D'Antonio) Cerasoli, he was devoted to caring for them in their later years. He was also pre-deceased by one sister.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Florence A. (Tedesco) Cerasoli of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp, one daughter, Vera Stevens and her husband Paddy of Old Bridge, one brother, Anthony Cerasoli and his wife Blanca of Columbia, CT, two grandchildren, Brian, and Elizabeth, and many other extended family members.
Private cremation is under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial gathering will be Thursday January 17, 2013 from 12pm to 1pm at the funeral home. A memorial service will begin at 1pm following gathering.
