Samuel Farber died on Tuesday January 1, 2013 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Twp. He was 89 years old. Mr. Farber was born and raised in Brooklyn. He later lived in Bethpage, LI, NY and Millburn, NJ before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 2003. He served in the US Army Air Forces during WWII. He was a safety engineer for Farnow Varnish in South Kearny for over 30 years before his retirement. He was an avid rock hound and was a member of the Nassau Mineral Club of Glen Cove, LI, NY. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rose Marie (nee Rosa) Farber of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., two sons, Lynn Farber and his wife Sheryl of Morris Plains, and Lee Farber of Bala Cynwyd, PA and his wife Victoria of Narberth, PA, two grandchildren, Ryan and Tracy, and many other extended family members. A memorial service will take place at 2:00pm on Thursday January 3, 2013 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Friends and relatives are invited to gather from 1:30pm until the time of the service. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
