Clement Capasso – Toms River, NJ
Clement "Carl" Capasso, 86, died on December 21, 2012 in Monroe Township, NJ. Clement was born in Dodson, MD and was raised in Newark, NJ. He resided for most of his life in Bloomfield, NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ.
He proudly served his country during World War II in the Army. From 1989-90, he was the VFW NJ State Chief of Staff. He also served as the Bloomfield VFW Post #711 Commander.
Clement worked for many years in the automotive industry and was a "Jack of All Trades". He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Most importantly, Clement was a family man who cherished the time he had to spend with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Clement is predeceased by his wife Carmela (2010), three brothers: Joseph, Rocco and Robert and three sisters: Mary, Josephine and Rose. He is survived by a brother, Louis and his wife Yolanda; and a sister, Carmella Cozzolino.
Clement is also survived by two sons: Carl and his wife Cynthia, and Steven; two daughters: Barbara Galioto and her husband Anthony, and Susan Romano and her husband Vincent; ten grandchildren: Stephanie, Vincent, Michael, Jessica, Christopher, Carla, Matthew, Christina, Nicholas, and Kaitlyn; and three great grandchildren: Mason, Addison and Noah.
Funeral services will begin Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 10:15am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Road – Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 11am at St. James the Less RCC – Jamesburg. Interment will follow at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery – 350 Province Line Road – Wrightstown, NJ. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the funeral home.
