Obituary of Stanley P. Zibbe

Stanley P. Zibbe – Whiting, NJ Stanley P. Zibbe, 76, died at his residence in Whiting, NJ on Tuesday December 4, 2012. Stanley was born in Irvington, NJ and resided in Monroe Township for most of his life before moving to Whiting, NJ in 2004. Stanley attended Seton Hall University, before proudly serving his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He also attended Yale, where he was taught how to interpret Chinese. He loved the ocean and spent 25 years during the summer months in LBI with his family and grandchildren. For 25 years Stanley gave foster children a safe place to live and formed many special bonds with them. Stanley worked in retail for his whole career. He was employed by Sears, Young Squire and JC Penny where he was employed for 25 years and retired in 2000. Stanley owned Monroe Staleen Kennels and raised dogs. Stanley loved spending time in Disney World with his wife and daughter. He took dozens of trips there over the last seven years. He loved rollercoasters, waterslides and being with his family. Stanley was an amazing father and husband; he will be missed beyond word s. Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Eileen (Thornley) Zibbe of Whiting, a daughter, Susan Zibbe of Jackson, three sons: John Jensen and his wife Maryann of Monroe Twp., David Jensen and his wife Mary Beth of Jamesburg and Eric Jensen also of Jamesburg. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, extended family members and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday December 9, 2012 from 10-12pm at the M.
