Amelia H. Gatti – Monroe Twp., NJ Amelia H. Gatti, 83, died on December 3, 2012 at the Merwick Nursing and Rehabilitation Center – Plainsboro, NJ. Amelia was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She resided in Italy for four years while her husband, Frank, attended medical school from 1952 to 1957. In 1967 she moved to Staten Island, where she resided for thirty years, before moving to Monroe Twp., NJ. Amelia was a member of the Richmond Country Club; there she enjoyed golfing as part of the "Women's Nine Holers". Amelia was an avid card player. Amelia is predeceased by her husband Frank M. Gatti (2009). She is survived by her four children: JoAnne Gatti – Petito and her husband John of Trumbull, CT, Frank L. Gatti and his wife Therese of White House Station, Francine Gatti – Newbold of East Brunswick, Marcella Gatti and her spouse Tim Kircher of Shrewsbury, NJ, and six grandchildren: Christine Petito – Devine and her husband Brian of Mount Royal, NJ, Joseph Petito of Trumbull, CT, Kristin Gatti of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Natalie and Emily Newbold of East Brunswick, NJ and Thomas Kircher of Shrewsbury, NJ. Visitation will be Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin Saturday December 8, 2012 at 8:15am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:00am at St. Bartholomew RC Church – East Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge. For those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart University College of Health Professions - Dean's Leadership Fund c/o Gina Gardner, University Advancement, Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave. Fairfield, CT 08625-9969 and indicate that the gift is in Memory of Amelia H. Gatti.
