Obituary of Ann F. Montanti

Ann F. Montanti, 74, died on Thursday November 29, 2012 at the University Medical Center at Princeton – Plainsboro. Ann was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Edison and East Brunswick before moving to Monroe Township 12 years ago.
Ann was employed by the County of Middlesex, for 40 years, as the Assistant to the Director of Purchasing, retiring in 2001. Ann served as an officer in her union, AFSCME, as a treasurer, secretary and then president for many years. Ann also served on the Monroe Township Planning Board once moving to the area.
Ann is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, John A. Montanti of Monroe Twp., a son Michael Ratiner and his wife Michele of South River, a daughter Sharon Ratiner-Stankevich and her husband Joseph of Edison, one sister Esther Speller and her husband Ronald of Florida, three grandchildren: Jennifer, Justin and Amber, one great grandchild Aamir. She is also survived by her step-daughter
Joanne Watkins, her husband, John Watkins, and grandson, Vincent Kucinski, all of Edison.
Funeral services will begin Monday December 3rd at 8:45am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home – 205 Rhode Hall Rd – Monroe Twp. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RCC – 185 Applegarth Rd – Monroe Twp. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park & Mausoleum. Visitation will be Sunday December 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
