Anne Lubera died Wednesday November 14th at the St. Alban's VA Community Center NH in Queens, NY, where she was a resident. She was 93 years old. Born in Monroe Township on her family's farm, she lived most of her life in New York City. After serving as the first female Marine in WW 2, she worked on the Eisenhower Presidential Campaign and then in the White House. She then worked for the US and NY State Departments for several years. She then worked in the public relations departments for Lighthouse for the Blind and the new Lincoln Center. Finally, she was secretary to the UN Ambassador from Lebanon and finally was a legal secretary to various NY City legal firms. She ended an exciting and varied working career with retirement in 1975. Survivng are three sisters, Veronica Kowaleski of Monroe Twp., Victoria Vosk of Carnewy's P:oint, formerly of Englishtown, NJ, and Monica Owens of Ashland, NH. She is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews. Funeral srervices will be Monday at 12 noon at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhjode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. Interment will follow in the family plot in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe Twp. Friends may call from 11:00am until the time of the service.
