Edwin P. Harned, Jr. – Rossmoor, Monroe Township, NJ
Edwin P. Harned, Jr., 82, died on October 10, 2012 at The Elms of Cranbury – Cranbury, NJ. Born to the late Edwin P. and Martha (nee Waibel) Harned in Paterson, NJ on July 29, 1930. He lived in Wyckoff, NJ, and parts of central NJ, prior to moving to the Rossmoor Community, Monroe Twp. He resided for part of the year in his second home in Pinellas Park, Florida.
Edwin graduated from Ursinus College with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He was employed by IBM as an Executive for 32 years, retiring in 1987. Edwin was an avid skier and golfer; he belonged to the Montclair Ski Club and the Hopewell Golf Club. He was a volunteer fireman in Wyckoff, NJ and an amateur master carpenter. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1952 to 1955.
Edwin is predeceased by his wife Anna Gudmunds Harned (2007).
Edwin is survived by his ex-wife Louise McCutcheon and their daughter Nancy Warner and her husband Robert of Goshen, NY, two stepdaughters: Dr. Maria Georgsson and her husband Petur Hansson of Flemington, NJ, Eva Georgsson and her husband Nick Miliakos of NYC, a step-son, Sverrir Georgsson of Newark, DE., a sister, Carolyn Landi and her husband Joseph of East Stroudsburg, PA, three grandchildren: Ingrid, Kirsten, and Hannah Warner, four step grandchildren: Sarah and Anna Elin Hansson and Anna Thora and Zoe Miliakos. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and his companion Ann Nuzzo.
Cremation is private. A memorial service will be held on Saturday November 17th at 11:30am at the Rossmoor Community Church and Meeting House, Rossmoor, Monroe Twp.
