Donald M. Gaboury died on Thursday October 11, 2012 at his home in Monroe Twp. He was 75 years old. Mr. Gaboury was born and raised in New London, CT and has resided in Monroe Twp. for over 50 years. He served in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He had a career in construction and was a life member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades where he held the position of construction superintendent. He held memberships in many local sporting associations and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed many years of travelling throughout North and Central America.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Susan E. (Dudas) Gaboury of Monroe Twp., three daughters, Susan E. Kozar and her husband Joseph of Jamesburg, Donna Gaboury of Florida, and Marie Gaboury of NJ, four grandchildren, Ashely Eve Kozar, Justin Andrew Kozar, Brandon Everett, and Zachary Everett, one brother, Paul Gaboury and his wife Barbara of Palo Cedra, CA, one sister, Barbara Margolis and her husband Richard of Waterford, CT, one sister-in-law, Genevieve Gaboury of Monroe Twp., and many other extended family members.
A funeral service will take place at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 5pm on Saturday October 13, 2012 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-5pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
