Obituary of Malcolm F. Becker

Malcolm F. Becker died on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 82 years old. Mr. Becker was born in Newark, NJ on December 6, 1929 to Irene and Irving Becker. He was raised in Irvington and has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2000. He served in the US Army and began his working career in construction. He then became a kitchen and bath designer and co-owned Fresh Impressions in Somerville. More recently he worked at Grant Supply Company, Inc. in North Brunswick as a designer. He enjoyed fishing, food, family, and especially loved his dog Sally. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Becker. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joyce (Szymanski) Venis of Monroe Twp., three daughters, Marci Morelli and her husband Ralph of Branchburg, Sheri Alexander and her husband Steve of Mendham, and Wendi Hoak and her husband David of Stamford, CT, his step-son, Mark Venis of Denville, his sister, Eunice Becker of Bridgewater, four grandchildren, Jessica, Samantha, Brandon, and Ryan, niece, Jenn Haefner and her husband Bill of Rock Hill, SC, and many other extended family members. A memorial service will be 3:00pm on Sunday October 14, 2012 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. A memorial gathering will precede the service and take place from 1pm to 3pm at the funeral home. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, and for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Eleventh Hour Rescue PO Box 218 Rockaway NJ 07866.
