Obituary of Anthony Aiello

Anthony Aiello died on Thursday October 4, 2012 at his home in Monroe Twp. Mr. Aiello was born and raised in Brooklyn. He lived in Bay Terrace, Staten Island for over 40 years before moving to Renaissance @ Monroe, Monroe Twp. in 2005. He was a butcher for A & P Tea Co. for over 40 years before his retirement in 1997. He served in the US National Guard during the Korean War. He was a senior member of the Verrazano Rod & Gun Club in Brooklyn, a member of the Italian American Clubs of Cape Coral, FL, and the Renaissance @ Monroe Community where he was also an active volunteer. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved gardening and cooking, but most of all he was a true family man. He spent winter months in Cape Coral, FL and was a former president of the Dockside Condominium Association. He was a former parishioner of St. Charles RC Church, Staten Island, and a current communicant of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy (Barbaro) Aiello of Renaissance @ Monroe, Monroe Twp., three sons, Stephen Aiello and his wife Doreen of Chester, Peter Aiello of Monroe Twp., and his fiancée Joanne Toscano of Yardville, and Dr. Joseph Aiello of Freehold, two sisters, Cecilia Maggi and her husband John of Staten Island, and Ginger Salonia of Elmont, LI, NY, two grandsons, Steven A., and Daniel T., and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 8:45am Monday October 8, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum, S. Brunswick. Visitation will be Sunday from 12-2pm and 4-6pm at the funeral home.
