Obituary of Antonio DiBenedetto

Antonio DiBenedetto died on Wednesday August 8, 2012 at his home in The Ponds, Monroe Twp. He was 72 years old. Mr. DiBenedetto was born and raised in Bari, Bisceglie, Italy. He came to the US in 1961 and settled in Brooklyn. He later lived in Vernon and Toms River before moving to the Ponds, Monroe Twp. in 2011. He was a mason for many years before owning and operating his own restaurants, Cozzoli, Papa Joe's, and Valentino's in Lower Manhattan, and Antonio's in Vernon. He was a jack of all trades and especially enjoyed woodworking and cooking. He was pre-deceased by his wife Kathryn (Siblo) DiBenedetto in 1996. He is survived by three sons, Frank DiBenedetto, Thomas J. DiBenedetto and his wife Susan, and Anthony DiBenedetto and his wife Donna, one daughter, Rosemary Kiesler and her husband Kenneth, one brother, Mario DiBenedetto, four grandchildren, Nicole, Victoria, Grace, and Frank, and many other extended family members. Funeral services will begin at 9:00am Saturday August 11, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:15am at Regina Pacis Church in Brooklyn, followed by Interment in Green Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Friday at the funeral home.
