Rosemary T. Braun, 96, died peacefully with her family by her side, on Wednesday August 8, 2012. Rosemary was born and raised in South Boston, MA. She resided in Staten Island and Florida before moving to Monroe Twp. to be closer with her family 12 years ago.
Rosemary enjoyed spending time with her family. She was the matriarch of her family and adored by her children, grandchildren and 6 great-grandsons. She was known as the neighborhood "Nani" treating all the children as if they were her own. Rosemary was an avid reader and loved to travel, dine out, and take trips "home" to her beloved South Boston.
Rosemary is predeceased by her husband William J. Braun (1980) and her son-in-law Patrick Codd (2000). Rosemary is survived by a son: William Braun of California, two daughters: Rosemary Iannacone and her husband Al of Monroe Twp. and Catherine Codd also of Monroe Twp., a sister: Catherine Riley of South Boston, MA., seven grandchildren: Brian, Craig, Patrick, Elizabeth, Kieran, Lauren and Michael and their spouses. Also surviving are six great grandsons.
Funeral Services will begin at 9:00am on Monday August 13th from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home - 205 Rhode Hall Rd - Monroe Twp., NJ. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church - Monroe Twp. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery - Brooklyn, NY. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 7-9pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
