Obituary of John F. Tucker, Sr.

John F. "Tom" Tucker, Sr. died on Thursday August 2, 2012 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Bridgewater. He was 98 years old. Mr. Tucker, Sr. was born and raised in Medfield, MA. He lived in Hyde Park, MA before relocating to New Jersey in 1939. He lived in Elizabeth for eight years, and later lived in Millburn and Springfield. He has resided in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 1985. He was a fraud and securities investigator for John Hancock Mutual Life Co. in Boston, MA retiring in 1985. He was former treasurer of the Rossmoor Community and held various board positions, including past president of Rossmoor Mutual 14. He was an avid golfer and member of the Rossmoor Golf Club where he was involved in organizing many of the golf outings and events at the club. He also had a passion for photography. He was pre-deceased by his wife Irene R. (Dunn) Tucker in 1990. He is survived by his daughter, Judith A. Tucker of Stonebridge, Monroe Twp., his son, John F. Tucker, Jr. of North Plainfield, and one grandson Patrick Reilly Tucker. A funeral service will be 11:00am on Tuesday August 7, 2012 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Visitation will be from 4-8pm on Monday at the funeral home.
