Age: 98- Princeton
Angela Maria Cea, died peacefully on June 19, 2012 surrounded by family and friends at Brandywine Senior Living at Princeton. Her family affectionately knew her as "Nanny."
She was born to Vito and Marietta (Benedetto) Scarangella on January 2, 1914 in New York City. She had four sisters and two brothers. Her younger sister, Frances Ottomanelli of Scarsdale, NY, survives her.
Angela brought joy to all that knew her. She greeted whomever she met with a smile and a kind word. She was a very humble woman who prayed diligently and had a great respect for God.
Angela thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker, was a selfless and devoted wife and mother always putting the needs of her family before her own. She had a passion for cooking for her friends and family and delighted in making many delicious holiday meals which were prepared always with love and the finest ingredients. Angela's hobbies included traveling, reading, sewing, gardening, walking, and swimming (which she did well into her 90's). She and her husband Stephen moved to Rossmoor when it was still under construction and lived there for 37 years.
Angela is predeceased by her husband, Stephen. She is survived by her daughter, Camellia and her husband, Dr. Joseph Coccellato of Monmouth Junction, her sons Stephen and his wife, Evelyn, of Scarsdale, NY, William and his wife, Loraine of Boca Raton, FL, and Matthew and his wife, Patricia of Old Greenwich, CT. Angela had twelve grand-children: Gianna, Alicea, Joseph, Stephen, Marc, Christina, Michelle, Bill, Roseanne, Michael, Alessandra, and Emily. She also had twelve great-grand children.
