Obituary of Concetta Connie Scarpa

Mrs. Concetta "Connie" (Farace) Scarpa died Tuesday May 22nd at the Gardens at Monroe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 81 years old. Born in New York City, she lived in Lakewood, then Bricktown for 15 years, upstate New York and finally moved to her daughter's home in Monroe Twp. in March of 2011. She was the owner and operator of Buddy B Horse Boarding and Breeding Stables in Lakewood and was a trainer racing her trotters and pacers out of Freehold Raceway. She then was a line supervisor at J. Knipper & Co., a healthcare industry provider in Lakewood for 15 years, retiring in 2009. She was a loyal, devoted and excellent worker and her family was most important in her life. Surviving are her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Colosi and her husband, Joseph of Monroe Twp., three sons, Bart "Buddy" and his wife, Felicia of Monroe Twp., Gregory of Iowa and Frank and his wife, Andrea of New York, two brothers, Frank Farace and Emil Farace, both of FL,. an aunt and uncle, Minnie and Gus DiBiase of New Brunswick and her dear friend, Gina of Bricktown. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Private cremation services were under the direction of the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home Monroe Township, NJ. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday June 23rd from 2:30 - 5:30pm. Prayer services will begin at 5:30pm.
