Phyllis J. (Levatino) Messineo died on Tuesday May 15, 2012 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Twp. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Messineo was born and raised in Brooklyn. She lived in Staten Island for 37 years before moving to Monroe Twp. in 2011. She was a sewing instructor for Singer Co. in NYC for six years before raising her family as a homemaker. Later in life, she was a sales associate for several different retail stores.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph in 1995.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Brilli and her husband Ronald of Monroe Twp., and two grandsons, Michael Brilli and his wife Katherine of NYC, and Thomas Brilli and his wife Janine of Staten Island.
A blessing will be 9:30am Thursday May 17, 2012 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to the blessing at the funeral home.
