Bart Rossi died on Sunday May 6, 2012 at his home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. He was 82 years old. Mr. Rossi was born and raised in Naples, Italy. He came to the US in 1954 and settled in NYC. Upon his arrival in the US, he enlisted in the US Air Force and had a tour in Italy as well as being stationed in Little Rock, AR. He later lived in Brooklyn for 31 years before moving to Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. in 2002. He and his wife, Angelina, enjoyed winters in Indialantic, FL. He began his working career as a clerk, first as a postal clerk, then as a clerk in the Brooklyn Family Court where he worked for 31 years until his retirement in 1995. He was former parishioner of St. Anselm's RC Church, Brooklyn and was a current communicant of St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg. He was very family oriented, loved to travel, and enjoyed making wine and consuming the wine he made. He was pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law, Janice (Malakoff) Rossi in 2005 and three siblings, Angelo Rossi, Maddelena Varsavia, and Ralph Rossi. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Angelina (Pellegrino) Rossi of Rossmoor, Monroe Twp., two daughters, Angela Bonello and her husband Vincenzo of Marlboro, and Mary Rossi-Chan and her husband James of Staten Island, his son, Frank Rossi of Staten Island, seven grandchildren, Charles, Maria, and Vincent Bonello, Jonathan, and Angelica Rossi, and Emily, and Elizabeth Chan, and many other extended family members. Funeral services will begin at 9:30am on Thursday May 10, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg followed by entombment in St. Gabriel's Cemetery Mausoleum, Marlboro. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7-9pm and Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
