Obituary of Elda M. Thurston

Mrs. Elda M. (Justesen) Thurston died Saturday March 24th at home. She was 97 years old.
Born in Austin, MN she lived in Minnesota, then Culver City and Paradise, CA before moving to Rossmoor in Monroe Twp. in 2000.
She had a 50 year career in direct sales, lastly with Artex Hobby Products in Lima, OH, retiring in 1974. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church of Culver City, and presently a member of the Rossmoor Community Church. She also was very active with the Singles Club of Rossmoor and enjoyed extensive traveling with them to Alaska, Italy, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, as well as in the US.
Her first husband, Stewart Knight died in 1989, and her second husband Thomas Thurston died in 1999. Surviving are two sons, Doyle Knight and his wife, Patrice of Pt. Pleasant and Duane Knight and his wife, Lisa of Tallahassee, FL. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Local arrangements were coordinated by the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Monroe Twp. Graveside services and interment will take place in Blooming Prairie Cemetery in Blooming Prairie, MN.
