James F. O'Grady, Jr. passed away on Thursday March 1, 2012 at Park Place Center in South Brunswick. He was 47 years old. Mr. O'Grady was born in Elizabeth and lived in Roselle for many years. He resided in Roselle Park and Plainfield before moving to Kendall Park in 2003. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kean College in 1986 with a degree in political science, and continued his education, earning a Jurisprudence Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1992. He completed his clerkship in 1993 for the U.S. District Court - District of New Jersey, Law Clerk to Dennis M. Cavanaugh. He began his career in 1993 as an associate attorney at the law firm of Buttermore, Mullen, Jeremiah, & Phillips in Westfield. He was currently a partner at Lombardi & Lombardi, P.A. Attorneys at Law in Edison. He was a member of the Middlesex County Trial Lawyers Association, the NJ Assoc. for Justice (Formerly NJ-ATLA), and the Middlesex County Assignment Judges Civil Lawyers Committee, 2008 – Present. He was a parishioner of St. Cecelia's RC Church, Monmouth Junction and was a third degree Knight of Columbus in St. Cecelia Council #7046. He coached his son for two years in the South Brunswick Athletic Assoc. Junior Farm Baseball League.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Jeanine M. (Muller) O'Grady of Kendall Park, his son, Danny O'Grady of Kendall Park, his daughter, Nicole O'Grady of Kendall Park, his parents, James F., Sr. and Claire M. (Fichner) O'Grady of Roselle, his brother, Michael O'Grady and his wife Michelle of Lincroft, his father-in-law, Walter Muller of Edison, his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Muller of Hackensack, his sister-in-law, Michele Matten and her husband Ian of Colonia, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 9:15am Wednesday March 7, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am at St. Cecelia's RC Church, Monmouth Junction, followed by Interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, S. Brunswick.
