Obituary of Henry A. Lesto

Henry A. Lesto died on Sunday February 19, 2012 at his home in Millstone Twp. He was 65 years old. Henry was born and raised in Brooklyn. He lived in Old Bridge for 21 years before moving to Millstone Twp. in 1991. In the 60's he served in the US Army and graduated from the US Army South Eastern Signal School as a radio teletype operator. He served during the Vietnam War. In 1978 he attended The Raritan Valley Flying School and achieved an IFR instrument and commercial pilots license. In the 90's, he attended Adelphi University and graduated with a bachelor of science degree. Henry was on the Millstone Township Zoning Board for 15 years and was President of the Lions Club for many years. He worked for the Port Authority of NY & NJ for 38 years with many titles under his belt. He retired in 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Madeline (Urso) Lesto of Millstone Twp., one brother, Fred Lesto and his wife Karen of Neptune, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Thursday February 23, 2012 from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am at St. James the Less RC Church, Jamesburg, followed by a private cremation. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home.
