Obituary of Irene Aretakis

Irene Aretakis died on Wednesday February 15, 2012. She was 60 years old. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived in Colonia, Jamesburg, and South Brunswick for most of her life. She was a nanny and loved watching children. She was also a pre-school teacher at Harmony School in Princeton. She was a faithful and spiritual person and was a proud Born Again Christian. She was pre-deceased by her parents, George and Catherine (Pappas) Aretakis, and her son, Kevin Greim. She is survived by her son, Paul M. Greim of Helmetta, Paul's father, Lane Greim of Jamesburg, her daughter, Erin Hawk and her husband Corey of San Mateo, CA, her daughter-in-law, Jamie Greim of Monroe Twp., five sisters, Dorothy Floris and her husband Charles of Brooklyn, Maria Ekonomou and her husband Vasili of Brooklyn, Anna Napoli of Denver, CO, Helen Napoli and her husband Joseph of Aurora, CO, and Joann Aretakis of New York City, one brother, James Aretakis and his wife Deborah of Morrison, CO, one granddaughter, Samantha Hawk, and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. Arrangements, which include cremation, are being handled by the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. A memorial service will be held on Sunday February 19, 2012 at 4:30pm following a memorial gathering that will begin at 2:00pm.
