Obituary of Peter Tauk

Mr. Peter Tauk died Wednesday February 1st at the Robert Wood Johnson-University Hospital, New Brunswick.He was 86 years old.
He was born in Cuba and lived in Ghana and Lebanon before emigrating to the US in 1954, where he settled in Brooklyn. He had a 40 year career as a baker, during which time he established his own bakery, Mid East Bakeries in Brooklyn, finally retiring in 1988.
He moved to the Rossmoor community in
Monroe Township in 2006 and moved to his daughter's home in the Skillman section of Montgomery Township in 2009.
Mr. Tauk served in the British Armed Forces during WW 2 and was a member of St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, Somerset.
His wife, Martha (Elias) died in 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Maria DeMarco and her husband, Joseph of Henderson, NV, Dr. Antoinette Tauk, and her husband, Robert Smith of Skillman, a son, Joseph and his wife, Szetlana of Brooklyn, three grandsons, Anthony and Robert DeMarco and Michael David Smith and a great granddaughter, Adasha DeMarco.
Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation Sunday Feb. 5th from 2-5pm at the M. David DeMarco Funeral home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp. A funeral service will be offered at 3pm. Entombment will be Monday Feb. 6th at 12 noon at St. John's Cloister, Queens, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart and Lung Association.
