Erik O. Santalla died unexpectedly on Wednesday February 1st at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 23 years old.
Born in New York City, he lived in Fairview, NJ, then Secaucus, before moving to Monroe Township eight years ago. Erik attended the Piscataway Day Training School for five years. He was brave and strong enough to ride the Tower of Terror at Disneyworld a few years ago with his father and brother. "Papi loves you, but not more than Mommy".
He is survived by his parents, Andres E. and Leticia B. (Lopez) Santalla, two brothers, Andres P. of Rutherford and Daniel A. of Monroe Twp., two sisters, Jennifer L. and Megan A., both of Monroe Twp., his paternal grandmother, Carmen Santalla of Colonia and his maternal grandfather, Abraham Lopez of Hamilton, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the funeral liturgy to be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30am at St. James RCC, Jamesburg. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Burial Park, So. Brunswick. Visitation is Friday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Memorial contributions are strongly encouraged to Ronald McDonald House Charitable Acct. One Kroc Dr. Oak Brook, IL 60523.
