Mrs. Janet C. (Glocksen) Tamburrino died Friday January 20th at Centra State Medical Center, Freehold after a valiant battle with brain cancer. She was 64 years old.
Born in New York City, she moved to Monroe Township 40 years ago. Among several employments during her active life, she worked as a cafeteria worker for the Monroe Township Board of Education and as a shipping clerk for J.S. Paluch & Co., East Brunswick, a religious printing service for church bulletins. Her true life's work was being a loving wife and mother to her husband and children. She was a long time member of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Spotswood where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Nicholas R., Jr., a daughter, Carmela Zareski and her husband, Ed of Endicott, NY, a son, Joseph and his wife, Lisa of Rio Rancho, NM, two sisters, Marlene Sapone (John) of Monroe Twp. and Patricia Glocksen of Jamesburg, and her mother in law, Carmela Tamburrino of Monroe Twp. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Melissa, Danielle, Jonathan, Matthew, Chad, and Rachel, and three great grandchildren, Zoey, Lily and Megan.
Funeral service will begin Tuesday at 9:30am from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Township. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:15am at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Mausoleum, South Brunswick. Visitation will be Monday 1-4pm and 7-9pm.
