Obituary of Ellen O'Reilly

Ellen O’Reilly Nee kilker, 74, died on April 16, 2019 at the Mayo University Hospital in Castlebar, Ireland.  Ellen was born in co. Mayo, Ireland and grew up in the village Glencastle.  She came to the United States in 1963 and settled in Jersey City, New Jersey, before moving to Monroe Township, in 1999.  

Ellen was a homemaker; she enjoyed traveling to Ireland, playing cards, Irish dancing, bowling, baking, and knitting.  She cherished the time that she was able to spend with her family in the United States and in Ireland, especially her grandchildren.  

Ellen is preceded in death by her husband Anthony O’Reilly, her mother Nellie McHale Nee Kilker, her sister Breege and her brother John.  

Ellen is survived by her three daughters; Michele Cioffi Nee Ryan and her husband Jerry Cioffi of Monroe township NJ, Maureen Alonso Nee Ryan and her husband Jose Alonso of Union NJ, Ileana Viani Nee Olavarria and her husband Chris Viani of Monroe Township NJ, Her three grandchildren, Declan Cioffi, Aiden Alonso and Briel Alonso, her niece Katie Mammana Nee Reilly and her husband Joel Mammana, and their children Kasey, Abby, Callie and Cole, Her six sisters; Helen, Maureen, Rose, Liz, Carmel, Mary, and Josephine,  three brothers; P.J., Eamon, Pat.  Also surviving are extended family members and friends whom she loved very much. She will be greatly missed by many.   

Visitation will be 4-9pm on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Wednesday April 24, 2019 from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 10am on Wednesday at St. James the Less RC Church – 36 Lincoln Ave – Jamesburg, NJ followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum – South Brunswick.
