Obituary of Ramesh Ramjiawan

Ramesh Ramjiawan, 56, of Dayton passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick.  Ramesh was born and raised in Guyana.  He came to the US in 1987 and settled in New Brunswick where he lived for 10 years before moving to North Brunswick and finally to Dayton in 2007.  He was self employed and owned and managed several properties.  Ramesh was a very hard working person.  He loved cooking and was a self proclaimed Michelin star chef.  He enjoyed vacationing and going to the diner for breakfast.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family.  

Ramesh is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Zailoon Ramjiawan of Dayton, his son, Ray Anthony Ramjiawan and his girlfriend Veronica Ware of Somerset, his parents, Ganess and Rookmatie Ramjiawan, five siblings: Ashwatie Dookoo and her husband Kramchand of New Brunswick, Washnarine Ramjiawan and his wife Phylis March of Monroe Twp., Ashmanie Seepaul and her husband Murphy of Lancaster, PA, Dharmendra Ramjiawan and his wife Nelene of North Brunswick and Mary Ramsammy and her husband Kelvin of Somerset, his stepchildren: Wazim Asrula and his wife Tara, Shazim Asrula and his wife Meena, Allesha Asrula, and Avesha Satnarine and her husband Sunil, his mother in law Isha Rasool of North Brunswick, one brother in law Raffie Azeez and his wife Rada of Plainfield, three sisters in law: Shiroon Rasool and her husband Nazim of New York, Kamroon Azeez of New York and Aziroon Rasool of North Brunswick and fourteen nieces and nephews: Tavita, Radisha, Khemila, Raj, Davendra, Seemantani, Stephanie, Timothy, Steven, Martha, Mattew, Mark, Elizabeth and Victoria.

Visitation will be 5-9pm on Saturday April 20, 2019, 5-9pm on Monday April 22, 2019 and 10-11am on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831 - 732-521-0555.  A funeral service will be 11am on Tuesday at the funeral home followed by interment in Elmwood Cemetery - 425 Georges Rd., North Brunswick, NJ  08902.
