Obituary of Gilda C. Bifano
Gilda C. (Paolicelli) Bifano passed away on Saturday April 6, 2019 at Brandywine – Governor’s Crossing in Englishtown. She was 92 years old. Mrs. Bifano was born in New York City. She later lived in Huntington Station, LI, NY for 31 years and moved to New Port Richey, FL where she lived for 15 years before retiring to Rossmoor in Monroe Twp. in 2003. She was an Avon Cosmetics Representative for over 40 years and prior to that, she worked in clothing manufacturing for Chick ‘n Chuck in New York City. She was a volunteer at Community Hospital in New Port Richey, FL and also volunteered for area nursing homes while living in Florida where she played with her husband’s harmonica group, “Two Hits & A Miss,” that lifted the spirits of the nursing home residents. She was a member of the Italian American Club of Rossmoor, and the Senior Citizen Club of Rossmoor. She also started a harmonica group in Rossmoor and was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Vincent F. Bifano in 2006, her brother, Dominick Paolicelli, and two sisters, Grace Forte, and Annabelle Marzano.
She is survived by four children, Francis V. and his wife Sheila of Houston, TX, George A. and his wife Justine of Columbus, NJ, Vincent P. of Huntington Station, LI, NY, and Carmel Ann Yoli and her husband Kenneth of Holbrook, LI, NY, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday April 11, 2019 and from 8:15am to 8:45am on Friday April 12, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831. Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Friday from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am on Friday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., followed by Entombment in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Woodbridge.
